Please keep the family and friends of Thomas Edward (Red) Lynch in your hearts and prayers. Tom was 60 years of age, formerly of West Mifflin and passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the UPMC East Hospital.
Tom was born February 21, 1958 to Thomas (Herk) and Evelyn (Bonnie) McCann Lynch. Tom, known as Red, by his family and friends for his prized red hair, graduated from West Mifflin South High School in 1976 and joined the Air Force. Following his service to the country, he married and moved to Wakefield Virginia, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He moved back to the Pittsburgh area several years ago.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael John Lynch.
He is survived by his beloved brothers, James (Jeanine) Lynch of Hickory, NC, Daniel (Olga) Lynch of West Mifflin, David (Dawn) Lynch of Pleasant Hills and his beloved sister-in-law Cindy Lynch of San Francisco, CA.
He is the beloved uncle of Jenna, Ian, Sarah, Anna, Kellen, Noah, Grady, Evelyn, Johnny, Adrian, Ryan, Eric, and Kyle.
Tom is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, and numerous McCann and Lynch cousins.
Friends received at the John D. O’Connor and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Patrick Vereb, FD, 5106 Second Avenue, 15207, 412-521-8116 on Tuesday 2 PM to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stephen Parish Church at 10 AM.
