Please keep the family and friends of Robert V. Vavro, Jr, in your hearts and prayers. Robert was 64, formerly of Hazelwood and currently a resident of Cochranton, PA. He passed away on August 25, 2022. Born of February 15, 1958 to Carolyn (O’Connor) Vavro and the late Robert Vavro Sr. Bob was raised in Hazelwood and graduated from Central District Catholic High School. A member of the Carpenter’s Union for 35 years. He worked 31 years in the City of Pittsburgh Construction Division of Public Works as Carpenter, Foreman, and Supervisor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and skier. He loved to travel, visiting all 50 states and skiing throughout Europe. He enjoyed cooking and canning numerous jams and vegetables. Family and friends always came first with Bob. He never failed to lend a helping hand when needed. In addition, Bob enjoyed spending time with the two family dogs- Duke and Kitz.
Beloved husband of Lisa (Kunst) Vavro; Beloved brother of John J. Vavro and James E. (Mary) Vavro; Uncle to Carolyn Vavro, Peter and Jay Barbor, and the late Tricia Lynn Vavro. Great Uncle to Sean Bane, Sheana and Julia McPaul. Bob will surely be missed by all.
