Please keep the family of Michael Kerekgyarto in your hearts and prayers. He was 77 lived in Lincoln Place and is formerly of Hazelwood. He peacefully passed away, July 14, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was the beloved husband of Pearl Churilla Toth of 54 years.
Cherished father of Maria, Julia [Steve] Conrad, and Michael [Laura].
Loving grandfather of Trevor and Adryanna Conrad.
Beloved Brother of John, Maria in Hungary, and the late George.
Mike was a freedom fighter of Hungary who received political asylum in 1956. Mike planned and saved for years to help his brothers gain freedom from behind the iron curtain. Mike was responsible for helping several people to escape. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette published an article written by Barbara Lowe dated December 24, 1968, page two. It was titled
Hungarian Refugees Find Home for Christmas.
