Mary Florence Curlonis

Sister Mary Florence Curlonis, a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God for 76 years, died at the age of 92 on January 6, 2015. Born March 25, 1922, in Philadelphia PA, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Natalie. She is survived by a niece and nephew.

For 24 years Sister Florence taught primary grades and then served as a librarian for 35 years at several schools and at the Motherhouse Library. In 2005 Sister Mary Florence began her ministry of prayer.

Friends will be received at the Sisters of St. Francis of the Providence of God Motherhouse on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm with a wake service at 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Motherhouse chapel.
