Please keep the family and friends of Kathleen L. Cherok in your thoughts and prayers. Kathy was 72 years of age, lived in Baldwin and was formerly of Hazelwood. Kathy passed away peacefully, September 20, 2020. Daughter of the late James and Mary Lou Wright, beloved wife of the late Darrell F. Cherok. Survived by her beloved children, Tamara (Tammie) her husband Mike, Carrianne Cherok and Mike Rafferty, Jason Cherok, his wife, Jessyca, and Trisha Cherok, wife of the late Jarrett Cherok. She will surely be missed by her beloved grandchildren, Samantha, Alexa, Jaelyn, Jamie, Jarrett, Jr., and Nina. Kathy was a 1966 Sacred Heart High School graduate. For a brief time she pursued her love of dance, and appeared on Come Alive!, a local dance show. After marrying and starting a family, she returned to school at Pittsburgh Beauty Academy where she became a licensed cosmetologist and earned her teaching certificate. For many years she inspired students and peers with her artistic vision. She also returned to school in the late 90’s to pursue and receive her associate degree in business. Kathy was a devoted mom whose love was apparent through her acts of kindness to her whole family. Her appreciation of music and dance, as well as love for cooking, was passed down to her children. She was a fun-loving aunt and grandma. Her strong faith and relationship with God were admirable, and her love for God abundant. Kathy would want everyone to know how proud she was of her family and leaves behind wonderful memories. Her beautiful smile will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
