Mihalko, John William
age 83 of Washigton, PA passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
He was born August 3, 1934 in Lowber, PA, son of the late George Mihalko and Mary Mihalko Steadman. Beloved husband of the recently deceased Julie Muoio Mihalko. Survived by his sister, Cynthia (Ronald) Ciarolla, and preceded in death by four brothers - Edward, Robert, Gene and Ronald Mihalko. He is also survived by sister-in-laws Pauline, Janet and Gladys, in addition to nieces and nephews - Debbie Nowakowski, Edward Mihalko, Raymond Mihalko, Gregory Mihalko, Kenneth Mihalko, Michelle Worobij, Sherri Mihalko, Kimberly Eckle, Robin Hamilton, Robert Mihalko, Laura Mihalko, Lisa Backus, Barbara Mihalko, Ronald Mihalko, Lori Settle, Hannah Ciarolla and many great nieces and great nephews.
John was a veteran of the United States Army and worked in the photography industry for many years. As a young athlete, he was recognized as an outstanding soccer player. John had a hidden talent for cooking and baking with homemade ravioli and pizzelles being his specialty. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, PA. John was witty and enjoyed spending time at The Meadows.
