Helen Marie Harper

Please keep the family and friends of Helen Marie Harper in your thoughts and prayers. Helen was 90 years old, lived in McKeesport and passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport, PA. She was born August 2, 1929 in Westmoreland City, PA to George and Martha (Buggs) Bostick. She was also the stepdaughter of Quint Stevens. Helen was an avid bowler and traveled extensively across the country competing in tournaments. Her many bowling trophies and plaques showcased her accomplishments and love for the sport. In addition, she enjoyed watching old-time western movies, Christian television and listening to gospel music. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack, William, James, Sidney and sisters Meredith Jenkins and Georgia Mae Lawson; step brothers Donald and Kenneth Stevens and step sisters, Geraldine Lester and Eva Davis. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Reverend Larry D. Manning conducted a private service for the family and interment is in the Smithfield Cemetery, Squirrel Hill. PA. As Helen firmly believed “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” In honor of Helen’s legacy, please send all contributions / donations to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
