Dorothy Elizabeth Baker Sims

Please keep the family and friends of Dorothy in your thoughts and prayers. Dorothy was 88 years old, and passed away August 19, 2019.
Dorothy was born on May 24, 1931, the fourth of seven brothers and sisters. Each preceded her in death. She was the beloved wife of 32 years to John E. Sims. Growing up on Bedford Avenue, she graduated from Schenley High School and The Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. Dorothy accepted The Lord Jesus Christ into her heart while in her 20’s and became a member of Church of God in Christ. She met her husband at the Presbyterian Laundry Services and retired from there with 45 years of service.
Dorothy transitioned into the Lord’s home that He prepared for her, according to His Word, August 19, 2019 at 10 o’clock in the morning.
Visitation with the family is Friday, August 23, 2019, 4 PM until 7 PM at the John D. O’Connor and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5106 Second Avenue, Hazel wood, 15207, 412-521-8116
Services will be Saturday at 11 AM at the God Re-Creation Christian Center, 1028 Fawcett Street, McKeesport, 15132.
Interment will be in the Restland Cemetery, Monroeville.
