Dempsey Thomas Whetstone

Dempsey was 87 years old, lived in Hazelwood, and passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Annette (Fox); United in heaven with his late children, Timothy Whetstone and Heather Schwartz. He was beloved PaPa to his granddaughters Jenna and Erica Schwartz, Kristie and the late Brianna Whetstone. Son of the late Jack and Ada Whetstone; cherished brother of Lula Mae Rogers, and the late Jack, Barbara Bodenheimer, and Sam. Also survived by Brothers-in-law William Fox and Gerald Fox; his many loving nieces and nephews, especially Shannon (Bob) Rady, who cared for him until the end.
Dempsey served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He served as President of the Union while employed at Calig Steel Drum Company for many years.
