Benjamin Alexander Lowe

Lowe, Benjamin Alexander, age 35, of Brookline and Wilkinsburg went to his ancestors on December 21, 2016. Beloved son of Randi Lowe and Chester Lowe of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Beloved step son of Frank Sanders of Wilkinsburg. Beloved brother of Aaron [Elizabeth] Lowe and Lucas Sanders. Predeceased by his partner Suzanne Hazeem.
Ben was known as an intelligent, insightful moderator of news discussion on several media platforms, including Facebook, over the last few years. He had been an online fixture for much longer. He encouraged dialogue and idea sharing among large groups of people who sometimes had very different views. Ben was public in regard to his personal demons and struggles. He believed strongly in the value of knowledge, truth and the ability of people to form ways to face challenges together and overcome what rips them apart.
A memorial to celebrate his life is being planned.
