Ayten Ilkin, born on January 1, 1934, in Istanbul, Turkey, passed away on June 4, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA, at the age of 90. Nena, as she was affectionately known, was a kind-hearted, compassionate, and loving individual. Her generous spirit and joyful demeanor touched the lives of all who knew her. She was described as sweet, affectionate, and always willing to serve others. Ayten had a deep love for Jesus and shared his love with everyone she came in contact with.
Ayten was a dedicated member of The Bible Chapel, where she found solace and community in her faith. She enjoyed spending time cooking Turkish food, caring for others, and being actively involved in church community. Her devotion to helping those in need extended beyond her church, as she supported charitable organizations such as Light of Life Rescue Mission.
Ayten is survived by her grandchildren, Tanner Ilkin, Natalie Coale, and Clay Ilkin and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mehmet, and her son, Tunch. Ayten's legacy of kindness and selflessness will be cherished by her loved ones and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
