Please keep the family and friends of Armand Louis Melodini, or Edgo as he is affectionatly known in your hearts and prayers.

Mr. Melodini was 92, a lifelong resident of Hazelwood, and entered into rest Thursday January 18, 2018.

Beloved husband of the late Josephine (Ritz). Also preceeded in death by his son John (Speed), his parents Joseph and Addolorata (Fratangelo), his 3 brothers Falco, Americo, and Edward, and most of his peers, who no doubt welcomed him joyfully in eternity. He is survived by his loving children: Joseph (wife Linda), Daniel (wife Amy Tommarello) and Nita Cullison (husband Jim); 6 grandchildren: Kevin (Julie) Simurda, Amanda (Anthony) Parisi, Aaron and Steven Melodini, Alex and Scott Cullison; 2 great-granddaughters Kendall and Cameron Simurda; many nieces and nephews.

Edgo was retiree of B&O RR/CSX Corporation. He served as an usher for many years at St. Stephen Church.Active in life until just before his death, Edgo made the best spaghetti sauce and meatballs, preparing them every Sunday for whomever could make it for dinner that day. A gentle man, a generous father, he will be missed and remembered for the remainder of our lives.

Friends received at the John D. O’Connor and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5106 Second Avenue, 15207, 412-521-8116 on Sunday 2-8 PM. and again Monday at 10 AM before the Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stephen Parish Church at 11 AM.

Donations may be made to St. Stephen Parish (Hazelwood), or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (to whom he donated monthly)
