Please keep the family and friends of John Martin Grandillo “Sonny” in your thoughts and prayers. John was 85 years of age, lived in Hazelwood, and while surrounded by family he entered into the arms of God May 16, 2022. He was born September 19, 1936 to the late Francesco and Anna Kucharek Grandillo. He was the beloved husband of Cecilia Lococo Grandillo. Beloved father of Carla Ann Spotts and her husband (Vincent “Vinny”). Beloved grandfather of Giovanni and Domenico Spotts. Beloved brother of Barbara Grandillo and the late Thomas Grandillo.
When John was younger, he was a dedicated Little League Coach to a great number of Hazelwood Youth. Many men today recall John as their favorite coach. Throughout his life, John spent numerous hours pouring and painting ceramics and refinishing antique furniture. Lately, he spent his time reading the newspaper and following the Pittsburgh sports teams. Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family and hearing about his two grandsons achievements in baseball, soccer, and basketball.

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul Cathedral Parish-St. Stephen Church, Monday, May 22, 2022 at 10 AM. Everyone please meet at the church at 10 AM.
At the request of the family, Complete precautions against Covid-19 are requested and masks will be asked to be worn at the funeral home and during the church service.
