Ernest Yeomon Sims. Jr.

Please keep the family and friends of Ernest Yeomon Sims, Jr. in your hearts and prayers. Ernest was 84 years of age, lived in Hazelwood, and entered into rest May 5, 2024. He was born November 14, 1939 to Ernest Sims and Florence Chandler Sims. He was the beloved husband of Angeline Lofton Sims. He is survived by his beloved children Jimmy L. Lofton, Deandre T. Sims, Deandre T. Sims (Maureen), Christopher E. Sims (Nichole), and Bryant K. Sims. He was the beloved brother to Carolyn McKinney, Nathan Sims, and Ronald Sims. He will surely be missed by his four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Ernest was a former member of St. Stephens Church, a US Navy Veteran, and retired from the Sanitation Department of the City of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed his loving family, his motorcycle, karate instructing, gardening, line dancing, and trumpet playing. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, May 12, 2024 2PM to 4PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the Vereb Funeral Home, (formerly O’Connor’s) 5106 Second Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15207 412.521-8116.
